There was a traumatic scene Wednesday night at Kinsmen arena for parents and children attending a pee-wee hockey game.

A man who had been stabbed in the parking lot area, entered the lobby. Police responded to the call around 7:30 p.m..

A spokesperson for the Prince Albert Police Service told paNOW the victim remains in hospital, and a warrant has been issued for the accused.

Police have also said the stabbing had nothing to do with the game going on inside the arena.

Parkland Ambulance has confirmed a 20-year-old man was transported to Victoria Hospital in serious but stable condition.

A warrant has been issued for a young offender at this time and the matter is still under investigation.
