USports football: Troy Downton leads Mount Allison past Bishop’s 36-22

SACKVILLE, N.B. — Quarterback Troy Downton completed 17-of-25 passes for 175 yards, two touchdowns and an interception to lead the Mount Allison Mounties past the Bishop’s Gaiters 36-22 on Saturday in Canadian university football action.

Chris Reid had 109 yard receiving yards and one touchdown for Mount Allison (1-0), while kicker Michael Domanico had five conversions and a rouge.

QB Mathieu Demers went 23-of-33 for 267 passing yards with two TDs and an interception for Bishop’s (0-1).
