Giant inflatable clowns, cackling witches and an odd looking creature called a BOO-falo.

These are just some of the creative Halloween decorations you’ll find around Prince Albert this year.

Carrie Adam lives on Olive Diefenbaker Drive and has been decorating her yard since 2023. She’s been told her house helps light up the neighbourhood.

“And my favourite part honestly is there is this dad that comes with his son in the evening and he just comes and sits with his little boy and they just look at the lights.”

Penny Darling’s elaborate display can be found in the 300 block of eighth street east. She’s been decorating for five years.

“We keep doing it for the fun of it and it feels great to see people smile or stop to take pictures,” she said. “Lots of people will stop as we are decorating and thank us for doing it.  t brings a nice positive vibe to Midtown. Life’s pretty difficult nowadays and people need something positive to put a little joy in their day.”

Steve Arcand’s display on Glen Howard Way is a must see.

“We’ve lived here for about eight years now and every year, we just more or less add a couple things here or there, and it’s built up to what it is here now,” he explained.

And when asked what motivates him to decorate, like the others Arcand said he does it for the kids.

“This street gets absolutely jam-packed. There are so many people that come back and forth. The kids can by and love it and lot of adults love it, too.”
