Prince Albert’s New Ronald McDonald House Nears Opening, $1.3 Million Still Needed
After years of planning, fundraising, and construction, Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan is preparing to open the doors of its new 12-room House in Prince Albert, marking a significant milestone in supporting families with sick or injured children across northern Saskatchewan.
The new House is scheduled for a community ribbon-cutting celebration on January 18, 2027, with families welcomed through its doors beginning January 19, 2027.
Located near Victoria Hospital, the Prince Albert House will provide families with a comforting place to stay while their child receives medical care. More than just a place to sleep, the House will offer families a home like environment during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Families will have access to private bedrooms, shared kitchen and dining spaces, laundry facilities, comfortable gathering areas, and the support of a caring community.
For families living in northern and rural Saskatchewan, access to pediatric care often requires significant travel. The new Prince Albert House will help reduce the financial and emotional burden of being far from home by keeping families close to the medical care their child needs while providing the comforts and support that help them stay together.
Construction continues to make progress, and excitement is building as the January opening draws closer. The project represents an important step in Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan’s commitment to ensuring families can remain together regardless of where medical care is required.

While the building is nearing completion, the work is not yet finished. Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan still has $1.3 million to raise to complete the capital campaign that is making this project possible.
Community support has brought the House to this point, and there is still an opportunity for individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to play a role in bringing the project across the finish line. Every contribution, large or small, helps create a welcoming space where families can find comfort, connection, and support during a difficult chapter in their lives.
Donations made today will directly support the completion of the Prince Albert House and help
ensure families have access to the services and resources they need from the moment the doors open.
As we continue the countdown to our opening in January, Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan extends its heartfelt gratitude to the donors, sponsors, volunteers, construction teams and community partners whose generosity has helped make this dream a reality. Together, we are creating a place where families can stay close, stay strong, stay safe, and focus
on what matters most: their child’s health and healing.
There is still time to be part of this transformational project. Help us raise the final $1.3 million and ensure every family who needs the Prince Albert House has a welcoming place to call home. Learn how you can make a difference through the Miles to Go campaign.
