Teacher and class guinea pig recovering after being rear-ended in construction zone north of Prince albert
A kindergarten teacher, her husband and a guinea pig she had just bought are recovering from bumps and bruises after being struck by a speeding stolen vehicle in the construction zone north of Prince Albert.
Michelle Hunt said that she and her husband were in Prince Albert to pick up the guinea pig on Tuesday evening along with four buckets of ice cream for a class fundraiser and were heading home when the collision happened.
She was driving a Dodge Hornet she had just bought at the end of August.
“All of a sudden I got smashed from behind. And I didn’t even know what happened and my face hit the dashboard. Then I don’t remember much from that point until I was in the ambulance,” she said.
