Prince Albert Kinsmen name 2026 sports award recipients

Litzenberger earned recognition across softball, football and basketball. In 2025, he helped the Prince Albert Astros win bronze at the U17 Boys Canadian Fastpitch Championship, where he was named an all-star and the tournament’s top utility player.

At Carlton Comprehensive High School, he caught the winning touchdown in the Crusaders’ first provincial football championship in 2024. He also helped Carlton earn silver at the 2026 Hoopla basketball championship and represented Saskatchewan in basketball at the 2025 Canada Summer Games. Litzenberger has committed to the University of Regina Rams football program.

Diehl earned a place on Canada’s team for the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships after winning five medals at the Canadian Swimming Trials. At 16, she was the youngest athlete on the Canadian team in Singapore, where she finished fourth in the women’s SB9 100-metre breaststroke with a personal-best time.

She has since been named Saskatchewan Sport Awards Youth Female Athlete of the Year and Swimming Canada’s Breakout Swimmer of the Year in its Paralympics Program. Diehl added gold and bronze medals at a World Para Swimming Championship Series event in France this May.

Former NHL goaltender and Hockey Night in Canada analyst Kelly Hrudey will be the dinner’s guest speaker. The event will also include live and silent auctions, with proceeds supporting the Kinsmen Wave Pool at the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre.
