Police search for suspects after shots fired at vehicle in Pelican Narrows

Police are searching for suspects after a person was injured in a shooting in Pelican Narrows early Monday.

Saskatchewan RCMP said officers received a report around 1 a.m. that a firearm had been discharged at a vehicle. One person in the vehicle was treated at the local clinic for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Officers found a vehicle they had identified as a suspect vehicle around 4:15 a.m. and tried to stop it using their lights and sirens. The driver did not stop, and officers pursued the vehicle. During the pursuit, officers fired a gun toward it, RCMP said.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Highway 135. Police believe its occupants fled on foot.
