Family still searching for answers 35 years after P.A. homicide

The Prince Albert Police Service is renewing its request for public assistance in the 1991 homicide of Jean LaChance.

Today marks 35 years since LaChance was found deceased in a wooded area south of the Victoria Hospital. The investigation determined she was the victim of a homicide. She was last seen in the 3500 block of 2nd Avenue West at approximately 2 a.m. on Sept. 15, 1991. Jean had five children between the ages of four and 11 at the time of her death; those children are now adults and continue to search for answers.

The Prince Albert Police Service Historical Crimes and Missing Persons Unit (HCMPU) continues to investigate, and anyone with information in relation to the homicide of Jean LaChance is asked to contact police at 306-953-4222.
