It is with deep sadness that the family of Leonard Nakonechny announce his passing on September 10, 2026, at the Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert. Leonard was born in Weirdale on September 23, 1942 to John and Marfa Nakonechny. He grew up in the Foxford area where he lived until his passing.

Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 7:00 PM at St. James Parish, Albertville, SK.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church located 260 25 St. E. Prince Albert, SK. The funeral service will be recorded. For those unable to attend, a link will be provided at a later date. Full obituary to follow.

In lieu of other tributes, donations in Leonard’s memory can be made to the Rose Garden Hospice or the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
