Driver on the run from police after crash near Weirdale

Nipawin RCMP are attempting to locate the person who fled the scene of a crash near Weirdale on Tuesday morning.

The collision involved an SUV and a semi-truck and happened on Highway 55.

The person being sought by police was driving the SUV and the passenger was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature. The driver of the semi-truck reported no physical injuries to police.

Anyone with information about this collision, or can identify the driver of the SUV, is asked to call Nipawin RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
