Innova Law brings convenient, personal legal services to clients across Saskatchewan

The goal was not simply to put legal services online, but to build the entire client experience around convenience and accessibility while preserving the relationship between lawyer and client.

“I wanted to build a firm around that. Something convenient and responsive that still provides the personal relationship and professional service people expect from their lawyers,” Iverson said.

That distinction is important to the firm. While Innova Law delivers its services virtually, its lawyers have the same education, credentials and professional obligations as lawyers working in traditional offices.

“Online doesn’t mean impersonal,” Iverson said. “You’re still working directly with the Innova Law team. We’ve simply removed the need for you to physically come into our office for appointments and signings.”

The firm’s approach also extends beyond client appointments. Its intake process, documents, meetings and signing procedures have all been designed around a virtual model. The team continues to explore technology that can make those processes smoother, more secure and more efficient for clients.

At the same time, the people behind the technology remain central to the firm.

Innova Law’s central team members are based in Saskatchewan. Allie assists with client matters and brings many years of experience in the legal field. Ivy provides additional legal and administrative support and holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Legal Management.

Iverson also has a meaningful professional connection to Prince Albert. He completed a significant part of his legal training and early practice there, where he had the opportunity to learn from excellent mentors who helped shape the lawyer he is today.

“Prince Albert played an important role in my development as a lawyer, and I was fortunate to learn from some excellent mentors there,” Iverson said. “We continue to serve clients in Prince Albert and the surrounding area, while our online model allows us to serve clients throughout Saskatchewan.”

The virtual model can also benefit people who live outside Saskatchewan but have legal matters in the province. Innova Law has assisted clients living in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, the United States and elsewhere with Saskatchewan real estate and other legal matters connected to the province.

Growth is an important focus for Innova Law. The firm continues to improve its technology and systems, expand the services it provides, and add lawyers with experience in additional areas of practice.

For Iverson, however, the most exciting part is continuing to improve the way legal services are delivered.

“I enjoy looking at our processes and finding ways to make them easier for clients and more efficient for our team,” Iverson said. “The goal is to make quality legal services more accessible without losing the personal service that matters to people.”

Ultimately, Innova Law hopes Saskatchewan residents remember one thing: convenient legal services do not have to mean impersonal service.
