Wilhelm Cornelius Epp (Bill)
Bill was born at Swift Current, SK Sept 18, 1935, to John C. and Helen Epp. He was a toddler when they moved to the Glenbush area and a few years later to the Daylight School District where he received his formal education.
In 1962 he married Mary Hiebert who had grownup in the Mullingar area but was employed in BC.
He had a number of different jobs before moving to Blue River to work in and later leased a filling station. They also managed/operated similar businesses in Salmon Arm and Creston BC. They retired to an acreage at Lougheed, AB, moving later to an acreage at Elk Point, AB.
After Mary’s passing Bill spent several months in a care home at Elk Point and then moved to Rose Gill Lodge in Rabbit Lake, SK until his passing July 4, 2026.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents John C. and Helen Epp, his sister Helen, brother Jake, and brother-in-law Bill Buekert, nephew Jonathan, Mary’s parents and several of her siblings and their spouses.
He leaves to mourn brothers Henry (Betty), Peter (Dorothy) and W. Ike (Priscilla) and his sisters Liz (Greg), Agnes (Dick), Ann, and Mary’s sister Elma, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousin
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Hoffnungsfelder Mennonite Church.
