Prince Albert police search home in high-risk operation after shooting
A second visit by members of the Prince Albert Police Service to a home in the 1600 block of Muir Drive on July 4 resulted in the discovery of more weapons and ammunition, as well as the arrest of seven people.
Police said they executed the search warrant as a high-risk operation following an incident earlier that day in which a 30-year-old man was shot and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the shooting followed an altercation between groups of people in the area and involved bear spray and multiple gunshots.
Using specialized resources, officers deployed a controlled surround-and-call-out, which resulted in everyone leaving the home without incident.
