Work to repair flood-damaged White Star Road to begin July 6
Work to repair a flood-damaged roadway in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Buckland is expected to begin July 6.
The RM said repairs to White Star West Road are expected to take up to two weeks, weather permitting. The road has been closed since it was damaged by flooding last month.
In a news release, the RM said council has authorized the project to proceed on an expedited basis because of the route’s importance to north.
“This road is much more than a municipal road. It is a vital transportation corridor that supports northern recovery efforts, local agriculture and regional economic activity,” the RM said.
