Prince Albert police investigate separate shooting incidents

Jun 22, 2026 | 2:55 PM

Prince Albert police are investigating a pair of firearms-related incidents that occurred over the last couple days.

The first happened on Sunday at a business in the 2600 block of Second Avenue West.

Officers respond shortly after 11 a.m. and found damage to the building consistent with bullet holes. A preliminary review of surveillance footage showed multiple shots were fired at the business at about 3:37 a.m., where a black SUV was seen driving away from the scene. The Police’s Patrol Division and Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.

A day later, at around 4:30 a.m. Monday, police were called to the 1000 block of 17th Street West for report of a loud bang consistent with a gun shot.

A short time later, a 33-year-old man arrived at Victoria Hospital with a gun shot wound, which was non-life-threatening. Officers investigating the report did find a scene in the area of the initial call, however, no arrests have been made and the investigation continues.

Police are now asking anyone who may have information, surveillance footage or who saw suspicious activity in the areas around the time of either incident to contact Prince Albert police. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers online or at 1-800-222-8477.
