Calgary Wild FC ownership changes, Alyssa Mitchell buys majority stake
CALGARY —
Alyssa Mitchell has invested in a majority stake of the Northern Super League’s Calgary Wild.
Mitchell is an American-based entrepreneur with family roots in Winnipeg, the women’s soccer club said Tuesday in a release.
She acquired a 41 per cent stake in Alberta’s only women’s professional sports team, and one of six teams in the Canadian league that opened its second season in April.
