P.A. Outlaws return to action this weekend following hiatus

The Prince Albert Outlaws will return to the floor this weekend for the first time in over a year.

The senior lacrosse team will make their 2026 Prairie Gold Lacrosse League (PGLL) season debut on Saturday when they host the Saskatoon Brewers at the Kinsmen Arena. The team went on hiatus following the 2024 season after requesting a leave of absence from the league, though no reason for the request was ever shared.

After their season and home opener versus Saskatoon, the Outlaws will welcome the Winnipeg Blizzard for their first ever meeting on May 10. Then, the team will kick off a three-in-three weekend, beginning with the Moose Jaw Mafia on May 29, the Regina Heat on May 30, and they’ll end weekend with their first road game of the season in Fort Qu’Appelle on May 31 against the Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux, who are the defending champions.

The road swing will then continue for the next four games, which includes contests against:

  • @ Regina Heat – June 6
  • @ Moose Jaw Mafia – June 7
  • @ Saskatoon Swat – June 10
  • @ Saskatoon Brewers – June 14

The Outlaws will wrap up the season on Friday, June 19, when the team welcomes the Swat to the Kinsmen Arena.

The last time Prince Albert played in the senior PGLL, the team finished with a 2-6-0 (W-L-T) record and hold a 9-24-1 record since the 2019 season.

The biggest difference from the last time the Outlaws took to the floor is the depth of their roster, as a number of former Prince Albert Predators have since jumped aboard. Some of those new additions include Caidyn Prediger, Hayden Ulriksen, Mason Hawkes, and Zach Lysitza, all of whom won a provincial and Western Canadian title with the Predators in 2024

The Senior PGLL season got underway this past week, with four teams making their first impressions as the Brewers are off to a 2-0-0 start.
