13 Raiders invited to NHL development camps
The Prince Albert Raiders will have a strong presence at NHL development camps this week, with 13 current and former players earning invitations after the NHL Draft.
The group includes the three Raiders selected in last weekend’s draft, which was the club’s most NHL draft picks in a single year since 2004.
Defenceman Daxon Rudolph, the fourth overall pick by the Buffalo Sabres, is already on the ice at Buffalo’s development camp. Jonah Sivertson, selected 113th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights, will also attend camp before returning to the Raiders next season.
Third-round pick Michal Orsulak, selected 79th overall by the Detroit Red Wings, will join teammate Justice Christensen at Detroit’s camp. Christensen went undrafted after completing his WHL career but signed a two-year contract with the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins in April. Orsulak is also expected to return to the Raiders for his 19-year-old season.
