Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) increased the Saskatchewan economy by $151.3 million in 2025, according to a recent economic impact study.

Praxis Consulting released its recent report and said the impact amount is a 30 per cent increase from 2023.

CWA CEO Shaun Kindopp said the impact of the show is truly remarkable.

“This level of growth and contribution back into our local and provincial economy is something we’re incredibly proud of. It reflects the strength of our industry and the commitment of our community, partners, volunteers, and staff,” Kindopp said.

Regina Mayor Chad Bachynski said Agribition proves year after year that Regina is a premier destination for major events.

“The growth of CWA is a clear signal of the momentum in our city, and province, for the agricultural sector. Its success supports thousands of jobs and showcases Regina as the welcoming city it is,” Bachynski said.

CWA saw another record attendance, totaling 151,037 during the six-day show from Nov. 24 to 29. This resulted in increased tourist spending to $109.7 million, a 32 per cent increase from 2023.

“The world meets annually in Saskatchewan at Canadian Western Agribition (CWA),” Tourism Saskatchewan CEO Jonathan Potts said. “It is one of Saskatchewan’s most important events, driving millions of dollars from around the world into the province every year.”

CWA is getting national recognition. The show was a 2025 finalist at the Canadian Tourism Awards.

CWA has 11 year-round staff with 125 part-time and contract staff added for an average of two to four months per year. Roughly one in every 509 jobs in the Regina area depends directly or indirectly on the event.

Roughly $5.9 million livestock sales, trade show booth and vendor sales were generated last year.

This year Agribition is set for Nov. 23 to 28.
