Two people transported to hospital after home invasion

The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a home invasion that occurred early Tuesday morning and resulted in two people being transported to hospital.

At approximately 3:55 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Fourth St. E. for a weapons complaint and learned soon after unknown persons had entered the residence and assaulted the occupants.

Inside the residence, police members located a 30-year-old man who had been shot and a 33-year-old woman who had been assaulted.

Both were provided immediate medical attention and transported by Parkland Ambulance to the Victoria Hospital.
