A woman who was previously reported missing in Alberta has been found deceased in Saskatchewan.

Diane Cooper, 82, was from Calgary and had been missing since April 6.

On Sun, April 19, Consort RCMP in Alberta reported Cooper had been found by RCMP in the RM of Grandview near Kindersley, Sask. on April 18 around 7:40 p.m.

Police reported in a release that her dog, Halo — who was also missing — has been found safe.

“The circumstances surrounding her (Cooper’s) death are not suspicious,” RCMP stated.

“RCMP sends condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Cooper,” the release concluded.

Senior was travelling in Saskatchewan

On April 18, search efforts for Cooper were expanded to include Saskatchewan, in addition to Alberta.

According to a social media post by her granddaughter, Zoe Cooper, Diane had last been seen in Stettler, Alta., northeast of Calgary, where she had gotten gas. She was travelling with her Dalmatian dog, Halo.

According to the last pings from her air tags, Cooper crossed into Saskatchewan. Her last known location was in the hamlet of Hoosier, northeast of Kindersley.

RCMP Air Services had completed searches and reported that cellphone pings and air tags were no longer responding.
