Spring football registration open for PAMFA
It may not seem like it with the fresh snow that has hit the ground, but the spring football season is just around the corner.
Prince Albert Minor Football has their registration for their spring programs open with their first practice scheduled for April 27.
President of the Prince Albert Minor Football Association (PAMFA) Taras Kachkowski is excited for the upcoming football season, and he said that spring time is the perfect part of the year to bring in players new to the sport.
“We do accept new players basically at any point in our programs. New players are welcome at every level, however, yeah, I would say this is a little bit less competitive than our fall pee wee and bantam programs. Those programs we play in the Saskatoon Kinsman Football League, so it’s probably our most competitive programs, but the six-a-side version of football is kind of a little bit more fun, a little more free flowing of a game and so and it’s kind of a nice introduction to the game.”
