WATCH: Odyssey Productions gears up for ‘Munsch’ more fun

Apr 17, 2026 | 8:00 AM

The latest offering from Odyssey Productions will bring some beloved stories to the stage.

Munsch at Play Act Two runs April 22 to 25 at the John M. Cuelenaere Public Library.

The 15- person cast has been rehearsing since January. Director Trent Gillespie, who like many grew up reading all of Robert Munsch’s stories, told paNOW audiences of all ages will enjoy it.

“A lot of us as parents, the Gen Xers and even older, we grew up reading them and now we have kids and we can both really connect,” he said.

Chantelle Hovdebo, a well-known Gen Xer in her own right and local celebrity, acknowledged there is some pressure re-creating the well-known stories.

“You want the stories to bring the same kind of feelings and entertainment you would get reading the book, so as an actor putting the story together and bringing it to life, you wanna make sure you’re hitting it the way Robert Munsch would have wanted it to be.”

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door by cash only ($20.00 for adults and $15.00 for under 18 years old).

There are four evening shows and two matinees.
