A man accused of killing his longtime partner has been denied bail

Kevin Searcy’s case was heard last Friday at Court of King’s Bench in Melfort, and a decision was rendered on Thursday.

On Nov. 5, Nipawin RCMP received a request for a wellness check at a residence in Snowden – a small community northeast of Prince Albert.

Diane Searcy, 69, was found deceased. She had long been battling dementia, and neighbours had previously said the two appeared deeply in love and were inseparable.
