Conservation officers investigating after 142 birds dumped southeast of Saskatoon
Saskatchewan conservation officers are investigating after more than 100 dead migratory birds were dumped on private land near Patience Lake, southeast of Saskatoon.
According to SaskTIP, conservation officers were called after the 142 birds were discovered on Thursday, and they found that all the edible meat had been left to waste.
“Hunters have a moral and legal obligation to harvest the meat from wildlife they hunt,” SaskTIP said in a social media post.
“The waste of over 100 migratory birds constitutes a provincial and federal offence.”
