1991 homicide of Jean Lachance in Prince Albert still active

As they have done since the case started, the Prince Albert Police Service is once again renewing its request for public assistance in the 1991 homicide of Jean LaChance.

Monday marked 34 years since LaChance was found deceased in a wooded area south of the Victoria Hospital. She was last seen in the 3500 block of Second Ave. W. at approximately 2 a.m. on Sept. 14, 1991.

Police said LaChance’s five children, who were between the ages of four and 11 when she was murdered, are still searching for answers.

The Prince Albert Police Service Historical Crimes and Missing Persons Unit continues to investigate and anyone with information in relation to the homicide of Jean LaChance is asked to contact police at 306-953-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
