Defence Department names master seaman who died in industrial accident in B.C.
ESQUIMALT, B.C. — The Department of National Defence has released the name of a master seaman who died following a serious industrial accident near Victoria.
Guillermo Castellon died Friday, four days after he was injured at 443 Maritime Helicopter Squadron.
The department has not released details about what happened as it conducts an investigation and says a board of inquiry will be convened.
Rear-Admiral Art McDonald, the commander of Maritime Forces Pacific, says Castellon’s wife was at his side when he died.
