Raiders release regular season schedule, use fun video to showcase home games

The Prince Albert Raiders have released their 68-game schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 regular season, announcing their home slate in a fun and unique way.

The hockey club used a video featuring in-game host and Power 99 announcer Andy Cohen to poke fun at the other teams while unveiling the dates of their home games against that team.

The Raiders will kick off the campaign at home on Sept. 20 when they host the Regina Pats. P.A. will play in their first road game on the following night, heading south to Moose Jaw to take on the defending champion Warriors on Sept. 21.

October will see the club embark on their longest road trip of the season. The month will begin with back-to-back games at home versus U.S. Division opponents with the first on Oct. 4 when they welcome the Everett Silvertips, and second on Oct. 9 when the Spokane Chiefs come to the Art Hauser Centre.

Following their date with the Chiefs, the Raiders will head west for their five-game roadie in B.C. The lengthy trip will begin in Prince George against the Cougars on Oct. 12, and will continue Oct. 14 against the Kelowna Rockets, Oct. 15 versus the Kamloops Blazers, Oct. 18 on the island against the Victoria Royals, and they wrap up against the Vancouver Giants on Oct. 19. Following the trip, the Raiders will host the Seattle Thunderbirds on Oct. 25 before closing out the month in Regina on Oct. 30.

November will feature nine games total and will see the Tri-City Americans make the trek to Hockeytown North for their one and only contest against Prince Albert on Nov. 15.

Ten games will be played in December, with the Raiders wrapping up the first half of the season on the road with a quick road trip, facing the Oil Kings in Edmonton on Dec. 17 and will head into the Christmas break in Calgary versus the Hitmen on Dec. 18. The festive month will also be the first that P.A. will see of their rival Saskatoon Blades, with their first matchup of the season coming on Dec. 30.

The Raiders will kick off 2025 on the road in Saskatoon on Jan. 1 as the month will also be the busiest for the team as seven of their 13 games will come on the road. However, one of those home games will see the defending Western Conference champions Portland Winterhawks visit P.A. on Jan. 14.

February will also see the Raiders play 13 games, with one of those games being the final contest against U.S. Division opponents. The Wenatchee Wild will make their first visit to the Art Hauser Centre on Feb. 1.

The season will close out in March with 10 games on the slate. The Raiders will wrap up the campaign with a home and home series against the Blades, with the first happening March 21 in Saskatoon and the second and final game on March 22 in Prince Albert.
