Raiders beat Wheat Kings, take another step towards playoff spot

Feb 10, 2024 | 11:12 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders continue to play good hockey in February as they clinched another home win on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

The Raiders overcame a rocky start to outlast the Brandon Wheat Kings 7-3. It was Prince Albert’s first win against Brandon this season.

Sloan Stanick, Niall Crocker, and Krzysztof Macias each scored twice for P.A, who are now 3-2 in the month of February with all of the wins coming on home ice.

With the win the Raiders also move into a playoff spot in the WHL’s Eastern Conference, leapfrogging both Calgary and Lethbridge.

The Raiders and Wheat Kings are set to face each other four more times before the regular season concludes in March.

The green and gold will get a few days rest before playing two games on the road in Alberta next weekend.
