Raiders hold off T-Birds for another road win

Nov 15, 2023 | 7:44 AM

The Prince Albert Raiders continue to have success south of the border.

The Raiders beat the defending WHL champion Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2 Tuesday night and are now 3-1 on their season-long seven-game road trip through the United States.

Ryder Ritchie, Niall Crocker, and Justice Christensen scored for the Raiders who at one point led 3-0 and managed to hold off a late Seattle surge.

It was also a big day for veteran Sloan Stanick who picked his 150th and 151st WHL points, both assists.

The Raiders improved to 12-9-0-1 on the season while the Thunderbirds fell to 8-6-1.

The Raiders still have road games against Everett, Portland, and Wenatchee before returning home to the Art Hauser Centre later this month.

The game against the Silvertips goes Wednesday night with puck drop at 9 p.m. Saskatchewan time.

You can catch all the action with Nolan Kowal starting with the pregame show at 8:30 p.m. on 900 CKBI.
