Cocaine, meth, and over $8,000 seized following two month drug investigation in Prince Albert

A 37-year-old man from Prince Albert is facing a number of drug trafficking charges, following an investigation by the crime reduction team (CRT) that lasted two months.

David Deagon was arrested without incident on Friday after officers went to a business in the 800 block of 15th St. E.

In addition to 386.3 grams of Cocaine, 27.8 grams of Methamphetamine, 250 millilitres of Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), police also seized over $8,600 in cash, and drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking.

Later in the evening police searched a home in Prince Albert’s West Hill area. As a result of the search CRT members found another 50 ml. of GHB.

Deagnon is now facing charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds, and Operating a Conveyance while Prohibited from doing so by an order made under the Criminal Code.

Deagnon made his first court appearance Monday morning in Prince Albert Provincial. The case was adjourned to Nov. 15.
