Ice Wolves trade McNutt to Flin Flon for three players

The La Ronge Ice Wolves have made a blockbuster trade.

They’ve sent defenseman Adam McNutt to the Flin Flon Bombers in exchange for forwards Bailey Ewonus and Jaden Beauchamp, defenseman Ethan Andrews, a player development fee, and a third-round draft pick in 2024.

Ewonus had two points in four games this season for the Bombers, while Andrews had two points in three games. Beauchamp had not suited up for Flin Flon this year.

McNutt joined the Ice Wolves as a 16-year-old in 2020 but has spent the bulk of his junior career in the WHL. From 2020 to the start of this season, McNutt has suited up for the Prince Albert Raiders, Prince Albert Broncos and Regina Pats.

The Ice Wolves are back in action Friday night in Melville against the Millionaires. It’s unclear if any of their new additions will make their team debut.
