Fatal ATV accident in rural Saskatchewan

A man is dead and a teenage girl is in hospital after an ATV accident.

Just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, RCMP were called to the rural area of Togo near the Manitoba border Northeast of Yorkton.

When officers arrived, they found a 40-year-old man without any vital signs and performed CPR but were unable to revive him. The man, who was the driver of the ATV, was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 14-year-old girl was the passenger. She was transported to hospital in Yorkton with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP said alcohol is believed to be a factor.
