Royals face A’s looking to bounce back from weekend loss

The Prince Albert Royals 18U team is hoping for a better outcome Tuesday night after a narrow loss this past weekend.

The Royals nearly came back from five runs down on Saturday but fell to Muenster 10-9. Cole Bolotniuk had a single early in the game while Landyn Vandale contributed with a double in the game. Brandon Moose hit a single in the sixth.

The Royals led the game in the second inning with four runs batted in before the Red Sox answered with seven runs in the third inning.

Kolby Brown went two and a third innings, taking the loss for the Royals.

Next up for the U18 squad is a game against the Saskatoon A’s Tuesday night.

Both teams come into the matchup looking with similar records. The Royals are 1-6 on the year so far while the A’s are 2-6.

First pitch is expected to go at 6:30 at Edward McCourt Park in Saskatoon.
