Fire ban issued for P.A.’s Little Red River Park

The Prince Albert Fire Department has issued a fire ban for Little Red River Park.

They’re doing this due to the hot and dry conditions Prince Albert and surrounding communities are currently experiencing which could help start and spread potential fires.

Under the ban, open fires aren’t allowed.

People looking to cook or warm themselves up can do so as long as they use self-contained heating devices, gas barbecues, propane fire pits, or charcoal briquettes used in an approved fire pit.

Approved fire pits within the city limits south of the North Saskatchewan River are not impacted by this ban.
