Police car involved in crash, minor injuries reported

There was a close call Sunday afternoon, when a Prince Albert police vehicle, responding to a call with emergency lights activated, was involved in a crash at one of the city’s busiest intersections.

It happened before 2:30 pm.

According to a statement from the police service, the police officer was responding to a report of a weapons complaint in the 3200 Block of second Ave. W.

The crash occurred at the intersection of 28th St. and second Ave. W.

Parkland Ambulance attended the scene and tended to minor injuries, but did not transport anyone to hospital.

Both vehicles were no longer drivable as a result of the collision and were towed from the scene.
