Dec 7, 2022 | 12:52 PM

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have locked up a starter who could have become a CFL free agent in February.

The Roughriders announced Wednesday they’ve signed running back Jamal Morrow to a one-year contract extension.

The 27-year-old product of Menifee, Calif., appeared in 12 games in 2022, rushing 126 times for 666 yards and three touchdowns and catching 43 passes for 366 yards and another touchdown.

It was his first season as the team’s starting tailback.
