Oct 8, 2022 | 12:09 PM

UPDATE: On Oct. 9 at around 7:50 a.m., RCMP found the suspect vehicle on Elevator Road and Bibby Road south of Prince Albert.

It is unclear at this time why the vehicle was abandoned at this location. The vehicle was seized and towed for further investigation by the Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services.

Prince Albert RCMP are asking the public to help them locate a vehicle used in an armed robbery.

Police are searching for a mid-2000 black Chevrolet SUV with chrome wheels, a roof rack, and chrome trims.

The robbery took place on the morning of Oct. 8 on the corner of Lincoln Park Road and Highway 2, just southeast of Prince Albert.

An adult man stepped out of the black SUV and approached the victim in the car. He then stole the victim’s wallet and fired a shot from his weapon into the ground.

Police are asking the public to not approach the vehicle or driver if spotted and to immediately contact RCMP or Crimestoppers.
