Sask. RCMP warn public of release of high-risk, violent sex offender
Saskatchewan RCMP are warning the public about the release of a violent sexual offender who they said is at a high risk of offending again.
Roland Clifford Morissette, 54, was released from prison Tuesday morning and has intentions to move to Mont Nebo and occasionally visit the areas of Leask, Mistawasis First Nation, Shellbrook, and Prince Albert.
Morissette is described as an Indigenous man of slim build who’s 5’10’’ and 140 lbs with brown eyes and short black hair. He has a tattoo of a buffalo skull on his upper left arm and a large 5-inch vertical scar on his abdomen. He also has smaller visible scars on his left cheek, left wrist, chest, and chin.
RCMP said that Morissette has a criminal record that contains both violent and sexual offences connected to substance use. He also is said to have a history of reoffending and non-compliance with release conditions.
