Kinsmen Club makes major commitment to Crescent Acres baseball project

Jun 17, 2022 | 5:00 PM

A local non-profit has made a major commitment to Prince Albert Minor Baseball.

The Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert recently committee $60,000 over the next six years to the Crescent Acres Baseball Rebuild Project.

In recognition of this big commitment, the City of Prince Albert said the facility will now be known as the Kinsmen Baseball Complex.

The complex will house two 13U fields and one 15U field. The project was required after Prince Albert Minor Baseball were asked to give up Lew Hobson Field, their 15u field at Prime Minister Park, so a softball diamond could be built to allow the city to host the 2018 World Junior Soft Championships.

The 15U division has been without a dedicated diamond to play on since 2016.

To generate the funds to support this contribution, the Kinsmen Club has a number of fundraising initiatives, including a 50/50 raffle with tickets being sold online.

The draw will take place on June 18 at 6:30 pm.

The maximum payout could be as much as $10,000.00 if sold out. To support the Kinsmen’s efforts tickets may be purchased online.
