Police investigating after man shot in the leg on 10th Street East

The Prince Albert Police Service are investigating after a man was shot in the leg on Saturday.

Police say they found the injured man after responding to the incident on the 200 block of 10th Street East just after 4 p.m. He was transported to hospital in stable condition by Parkland Ambulance.

Robbery

Meanwhile in an unrelated incident, on Sunday at 2 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of 15th Street West in connection to a robbery. The person who called reported a vehicle stolen by two people with a gun.

The pair tried to flee but were found by police around Sixth Avenue and 28th Street West not long after. Police say 27-year-old Brittany Elderkin is facing charges of robbery with a firearm and dangerous driving.

An arrest warrant has also been put out for a 31-year-old man.

Machete assault

The Prince Albert Police Service have reported a 16-year-old youth has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking a man with a machete. There are also pending charges.

On Monday, just after midnight police attended a call at a residence on the 100 block on 11th Street West. A 53-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and hands.
