Temperatures to drop this week in P.A. but not for long
After a much-needed break from the frigid temperatures last week, Prince Albert residents will see a significant drop in temperatures this week, but it won’t last long.
Meteorologist Terri Lang with Environment Canada told paNOW there were mild temperatures but there is a “very rigorous” weather system moving through the province bringing snow with it.
“A fair amount, maybe five to 10 centimetres of snow maybe more in other pockets. It’s also bringing a lot of wind with it, so we’ll probably see some blowing and drifting snow out on those highways,” she said.
Behind this weather system, she said is when temperatures will start falling. We will start feeling the drop Tuesday afternoon she said when it hits -19 C with a windchill of -30 C. On Wednesday morning it could be as cold as -28 C or -30 C.
