Don’t panic it’s Sloan Stanick, who scores two in Raiders’ win in Lethbridge
They may have had to wait 12 days, but the Prince Albert Raiders picked up right where they left off.
After a COVID-related delay that almost all of the WHL teams were forced to take, the Raiders picked up a 5-1 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on the road. In their last game back on Jan. 2, the Raiders beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-2 at the Art Hauser Centre.
Raiders’ sniper Sloan Stanick scored twice to give him 13 on the season, tying him for the Raider lead alongside Evan Herman.
Stanick scored the eventual game-winning goal 14:50 into the second period, after converting on a nice drop pass from Herman. Keaton Sorensen and Reece Vitelli both had a goal and an assist in the contest. Eric Johnston accomplished the incredibly rare feat of scoring his first WHL career goal unassisted, while shorthanded, and on an empty net with just 1:37 remaining in the game. Ozzy Wiesblatt and Cale Sanders both had a pair of helpers in the contest.
