City of P.A. looking into possible funding to create new library
Prince Albert could be home to a new library.
The city’s council met earlier this week where they approved a motion to look into whether or not adding a library onto the South East Sports & Culture Complex project could be funded through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
Mayor Greg Dionne was the only one to vote against the motion, citing concerns about the addition affecting grants they’re receiving for the overall project.
Councillor Ted Zurakowski, who brought the motion forward and is a part of P.A.’s Public Library Board, told paNOW adding a new branch has been in discussion for years.
