Man charged with murder in relation to death of Jacob Sewap in Sandy Bay

The Prince Albert General Investigation Section of the RCMP have arrested 24-year-old Lenny Sinclair and have charged him with one count of second degree murder in the death of 54-year-old Jacob Sewap.

This comes as a result of an on going investigation and both are from Sandy Bay.

Sewap was found by police in December of last year after they were called for the report of an assault at a home in Sandy Bay. He died in January as a result to his injuries. Since then investigators have been working on the case.

Sinclair was arrested on Oct. 21 and will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday, Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m.
