320 new COVID-19 cases, 5 new deaths

There are 320 new COVID-19 cases and five new deaths reported in Saskatchewan on Sunday. There have now been 74,394 total cases, and 781 people in Saskatchewan that have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Out of the new cases, 43 are in the North West zone, with 20 in North Central, seven in the North East, five in the Far North West, and another five in the Far North East.

There were 645 recoveries, which brought the active case count below the 4,000 mark to 3,967. There were six more hospitalizations, as that total is now at 333.

There are 36 new cases to report today in Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority communities; 25 (69 per cent) were unvaccinated, four (11 per cent) are partially vaccinated and seven (19 per cent) were fully vaccinated.

There are 271 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 0; Far North West, 52; Far North East, 153; North Central, 55; and North East, 11; 6,261 cases (95%) have recovered, and 12 people are hospitalized.
