It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Senator Simon Robillard, late of Black Lake, SK on September 15^th, 2021, at the age of 92 years.  Simon was born in Wholdaia Lake, NWT on October 23^rd, 1928.  Simon will be lovingly remembered by his children Napoleon (Helen) Robillard, Ted (Lena) Robillard, Elizabeth (Leon) Alphonse, Jean Cook, Billy (Caroline) Robillard, Angie (Mitch) Guenette, Agathe Robillard, Mervin Robillard, Gilbert Robillard & Priscilla (Belo) Martin; his daughter-in-law Virginia Robillard; his son-in-law Archie Mercredi; his brother Boniface (Mary Ann) Robillard; his sister-in-law Ermeline (Donald) Mercredi; his 41 grandchildren; His 89 great-grandchildren; his 10 great-great-grandchildren.  Simon was predeceased by his loving wife Therese Robillard; his daughter Mary Rose Mercredi; his son Chief Archie Robillard; his parents Stanuslause & Louise Robillard; his siblings Alphonse Robillard, Billy Robillard, twin brother Abraham Robillard, John Robillard, Pierre Robillard, Mary Jane Robillard, Phillip (Ernestine) Robillard, Martin (Eileen) Robillard, Pierre (Valentine) Robillard; his in-laws Benjamin and Elizabeth Adam, Fred (Madeline) Adam, Mary Jane Adam, Alice Adam, George & John Adam & Rosalie Adam; his sons-in-law Simeon Cook & Oliver Martin; his grandchildren Floyd Cook & Bruce Robillard; his great-grandson Miles Robillard-McDonald; his nephews & nieces William Robillard, David, Jimmy & Jerry Robillard, Brian Robillard, Shirley Toutsaint, Louie, Paul & Raymond Adam; as well as numerous other families, and friends.  A Wake Service will be commencing Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the residence of Agathe Robillard in Black Lake, SK.  A Funeral Mass Service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 2 PM at Our Lady of Cape Roman Catholic Church in Black Lake, SK.  The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin.  His Honourary Pallbearers are Noel Sandypoint, Ernie Durocher, John McDonald, George (Melanie) St.Pierre, Joe Beavereye, Leon Alphonse, John Robillard, Louie Disain, Mitch Guenette, Walter Perrier, Victor Robillard, Georgie Broussie, John Echodh, Prosper Bekkattla, Freddie Robillard, Tee Jay Sumner-Merasty, Thomas Shaoulle, Billy McDonald, Arson Fern, Napoleon Pacquette, Modest Robillard, Mervin Adam, Edward St.Pierre, Gabriel Tsannie, and all those who shared in Simon’s life.  His Pallbearers were Johnny Robillard, Robert Cook, Justin Martin, Sarah Alphonse, Travis Robillard, Derek Cook, Corey Disain, Stephan Desjarlais, Peter Mercredi, Charles Robillard, Logan Campbell, Shawn Robillard, Clifford Alphonse, Billy Jack Robillard, Marc Robillard, Adele Mercredi-Robillard, Dean Davidson, Merwin Disain, Dustin Augier, & Alexa Morin-Robillard.  The Interment will take place at Black Lake Cemetery in Black Lake, SK.  Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.  Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium – Shellbrook Funeral Home.  Brian & Bev Stobbs, Mark Gyoerick – Mel Curle. 306.763.8488.
