Yolande Marie “Danoose” was born on Thursday, February 3, 1972 in Flin Flon, MB and passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 49 years.

Yolande is lovingly remembered by her husband Gilbert I. Ballantyne; her sons, Gilbert J. Ballantyne (Terrilynn Merasty); Snyder G. Ballantyne (Janice Custer); her daughters, Bethany Dorion (Simeon George Ballantyne), Sunni-Ann Ballantyne, Simona Ballantyne; her father, Daniel Maurice Dorion; her grandchildren, Precious Dorion, Vinnicia Dorion, Jameson Dorion, Shayden Sewap; her stepson, Donovan Jake Charles; her sister, Eleanor Ballantyne (David); her in-laws, Jack (Mavis) Ballantyne, Simeon George Ballantyne, Bonnie (Jim) Swan, Larry Lafond, Armand Roberts, Wayne Roberts; her best friend, Joanne Ballantyne; her best saying, “Hey Man”; her best song, “Mama Prayed For Me” by Brian McCallum.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Mary & Philip Ballantyne, Alphonse & Marie Dorion; her mother, Cecile Dorion; her grandchildren, Teryn, Zoey, Zackiesha; and her in-laws, Margaret & Benjamin Ballantyne.

The Prayer Service for Yolande will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Services will be held in the evening of Saturday, September 10, 2021 and Sunday, September 11, 2021, at the Pelican Narrows Band Hall and the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., September 13, 2021, at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK, with Father Heinner Paucar officiating.
