Wanda Vickaryous
February 25, 1938 ~ May 17, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Vickaryous.
Wanda was born to Elizabeth and Frank Bachur on February 25, 1938, in Honeymoon, SK. On June 29th, 1964, Wanda married the love of her life Jim Vickaryous, and together they had two daughters Kim and Keely. Wanda attended Honeymoon School, then later left for Prince Albert to start working. Wanda was a homemaker but did enjoy taking up new opportunities from time to time, always making a lasting impact. Wanda would eventually move to Saskatoon, where she enjoyed many years working at St. Angela Merici for retired nuns. In her later years she would return to Prince Albert and make yearly trips to her trailer in Yuma with her husband Jim. Wanda’s greatest love was her family and spending time at the Honeymoon farm as well as the cabin in Candle Lake. She had a reputation for being a funny, strong, and adventurous woman with a sharp mind. Wanda took all the opportunities life put in her path, there was never a dull moment. Wanda was always the life of the party. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family and could be seen out-dancing everyone at the party. Wanda was an extraordinarily strong woman. She took all the challenges and hurdles life threw at her and dealt with them in a courteous way. No matter the situation, she always found a reason to smile and spread smiles to others.
Wanda will forever be missed by her daughter Keely (Brad) Boechler, grandchildren Jack and Billie, son-in-law Dan Remenda, grandchildren Jordan, Cassidy, and Kendall, brother, Anthony Bachur, her brother Frank Bachur as well as many numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who were a constant support in her last few years.
Wanda was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Frank, husband Jim, daughter Kim, brother Ed, sister Jessie, and sister Nellie.
Three words that sum up the life of Wanda: Spirited, Adventure, and Family.
