Five years of putting in the time and perfecting her craft have paid off for Prince Albert’s Olivia Harris.

The 14-year-old synchronized swimmer was named on the Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming High Performance Program for the 2021-22 season. Harris was named on the 13-and-older development team, and is the only swimmer on the team north of Saskatoon.

“I was really happy that I got on the team. We practiced all year and did lots of competitions,” Harris told paNOW.

Harris and the rest of the high performance athletes will gain access to training camps and practice with other top athletes and coaches in the province. Coaches will cover everything from routines, strength, flexibility, nutrition and even sports psychology. Harris mentioned she’s very excited to learn from provincial coaches and the other athletes.
